A high pressure system will shift further east into the Tasman Sea today, resulting in winds gradually decreasing and tending more onshore over southern Queensland waters. Winds will weaken further on Tuesday as the high shifts east to New Zealand. A new high pressure system will move east over the Great Australian Bight towards southeastern Australia on Wednesday, gradually extending a firm ridge into southern Queensland waters.
