Weather Situation
A high [1023 hPa] over northern New South Wales will move slowly east over southern Queensland during the forecast period, maintaining a ridge along the north tropical coast.
Peninsula Waters, Torres Strait to Cooktown:
Sunday until midnight: Winds: SE 20 to 25 knots. Seas: 1.7 to 2.2 metres outside the reef and 1.2 to 1.7 metres inside the reef. Swell: Less than 1.5 metres. Isolated showers.
Monday: Winds: SE 20 to 25 knots, possibly reaching 25 to 30 knots at times offshore north of Cape Flattery. Seas: 2.2 to 3 metres. Swell: Less than 1.5 metres. Isolated showers.
Tuesday: Winds: SE 20 to 25 knots.
Wednesday: Winds: SE 15 to 20 knots, reaching 20 to 25 knots at times during the morning.
