Synoptic Situation
A large high situated near Tasmania will move slowly eastwards into the Tasman Sea over the next few days, maintaining a strong ridge along the Queensland east coast.
Warnings
A wind warning is current for waters between St Lawrence and Point Danger, including Hervey Bay and Moreton Bay.
Hervey Bay Waters:
A strong wind warning is current. Saturday until midnight: Wind: SE 25/33 knots. Lighter winds inshore early morning. Sea: 2.2 metres over the northern bay. Scattered showers.
Sunday: Wind: SE 20/30 knots. Lighter winds inshore early morning. Sea: 2.2 metres over the northern bay. Scattered showers.
Monday: Wind: SE 20/30 knots.
Capricornia Waters, St Lawrence to Burnett Heads:
A wind warning is current. Saturday until midnight: Wind: SE 30/40 knots. Lighter winds inshore early morning. Sea: 3.5 metres in open waters. Swell: SE 2.5 to 3.5 metres in open waters. Scattered showers.
Sunday: Wind: SE 25/30 knots, possibly reaching 30/35 knots offshore. Sea: 3 to 3.5 metres in open waters. Swell: SE 2.5 to 3.5 metres in open waters. Scattered showers.
Monday: Wind: SE 25/30 knots, possibly reaching 30/35 knots offshore.
