PART 2 SITUATION At 070600UTC Monsoon trough near 16S145E to low [1000hPa] near 16S155E, to another low [999hPa] near 16S168E to 18S170E. Trough moving slowly to extend from 15S145E to 16S160E to 21S170E at 081100UTC.

PART 3 FORECAST Within 90NM of monsoon trough. Variable winds 10/15 knots with slight seas. Scattered squally thunderstorms. Rain areas, heavy at times. Elsewhere north of monsoon trough. NE/NW winds 15/25 knots with moderate seas. Winds tending NW/W 25/33 knots with rough seas within 05S147E to 09S170E to 16S170E to 14S150E to 05S147E. A low to moderate N/NW swell. Scattered squally thunderstorms. Rain areas, heavy at times. Elsewhere south of monsoon trough. Mostly E/SE winds 15/25 knots with moderate to rough seas, reaching 25/33 knots with rough seas south of 22S170E to 20S158E to 28S162E. Winds tending SE/NE 10/20 knots with moderate seas southwest of 24S152E to 28S160E. A low to moderate E/SE swell. Isolated showers. Isolated thunderstorms, chiefly north of 20S.
