PART 2 SITUATION At 100600UTC. Trough near 12S143E to a low near 12S168E then to 12S170E. By 111100UTC the low is expected near 14S166E with the trough extending from 11S143E to 10S160E to the low and then to 15S170E.

PART 3 FORECAST North of trough and east of 160E. NW/SW 15/25 knots with moderate to rough seas and a low to moderate NE swell. Rain areas, scattered showers and thunderstorms. Remainder north of trough. NW/SW 5/15 knots with smooth to slight seas. A low to moderate NE swell north of 5S. Scattered showers and thunderstorms. South of trough. SE/NE winds 20/33 knots near the low. Elsewhere, SE winds 15/25 knots, increasing to 20/33 knots during Thursday. Moderate to rough seas, increasing to rough to very rough. A low to moderate SE swell. Rain areas, showers and thunderstorms near the low. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms elsewhere.
