Synoptic Situation
A high over the southern Coral Sea will maintain a firm ridge over the tropical Queensland coast.

Northeast Gulf, North of Cape Keer-Weer:
The Strong Wind Warning has been cancelled. Thursday until midnight: Wind: E/SE winds 20/25 knots north of Weipa, 15/20 knots further south. Sea: 1.7 to 2.2 metres. Isolated late showers and thunderstorms.
Friday: Wind: E/SE 15/20 knots, reaching 20/25 knots north of Weipa. Seas: mainly to 1.7 metres, reaching 2.2 metres north of Weipa. Isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Saturday: Wind: E/SE 15/20 knots, easing during the afternoon to 10/15 knots south of Weipa.
Sunday: Wind: E/SE 15/20 knots.
