Synoptic Situation
A monsoon trough currently lies through northern Queensland and connects to a low in the Coral Sea. The trough will move north into southeastern Gulf waters on Thursday.
Warnings

Northeast Gulf, North of Cape Keer-Weer:
Wednesday until midnight: NW winds 10/15 knots, reaching 15/20 knots north of Weipa. Seas 1.2 to 1.7 metres. Showers and thunderstorms. Rain areas.
Thursday: NW winds 15/20 knots. Seas to 1.7 metres. Showers and thunderstorms. Rain areas.
Friday: NW/W winds 15/20 knots, increasing to 20/25 knots north of Cullen Point.
Saturday: NW winds 10/15 knots, reaching 15/20 knots offshore.
