Weather Situation
A high [1031 hPa] over the Great Australian Bight will move slowly east during the next few days, extending a strengthening ridge over much of Queensland. A complex low pressure system is moving eastwards over the northern Tasman Sea.
Tropical Waters, Cardwell to Bowen:
A Strong Wind Warning has been issued for Sunday.
Saturday until midnight: Winds: South to southeasterly 15 to 20 knots, tending easterly inshore in the afternoon. Seas: 1.7 metres in open waters. Swell: Less than 1 metre.
Sunday: Winds: South to southeasterly 20 to 25 knots, increasing to southeasterly 25 to 30 knots during the afternoon. Seas: 2.2 metres in open waters, increasing to 3 metres during the afternoon. Swell: Less than 1.5 metres. Isolated showers.
Monday: Winds: Southeasterly 25 to 30 knots.
